For the construction of a gate maintenance dock (TID) for the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel it was needed to deliver and install appr. 55 tons of mooring posts. These were not only meant to create the gate, but also for the associated gate berths.
To install the 23m and 26m long mooring posts we used our 70VM + 1600PP with 2x 210TC pipe clamps and 3400mm ruler. Using our 70VM we made sure that the mooring posts were installed with precision and ease.
Our mooring posts which had been installed within this project were a greener solution for our customer than using regular mooring posts. This was the case first of all, because the majority of the mooring posts were already used in the past and gotten a new purpose within this project. Second of all, because we made a buy-back agreement with our customer. Meaning: after an upfront determined period of time, we will buy the mooring posts back from them and use them again in a new project.
